Sending Love and Sunshine

I pulled out my Simon Says Stamp Heart Rainfall die, combined it with a few other Simon stamp/die sets and made a card that I'm hoping will bring a friend some much needed encouragement...
I liked the Simon Hollyhock color, so I swiped the pink ink onto a piece of cardstock and then die cut the hearts.  I die cut and layered the cloud and hearts.  I stamped the sun, then used one of the Lots of Dots stamps to fill in the sun (stamped the circle a few more times, in the same color, than the outside sun image).  I layered the sun, then combined a couple sentiments from two different stamp sets and adhered them all to a die cut stitched rectangle base(the color is MFT Steel Grey).  Here's a close up...
It took lots of thought and some doing, with all the stamps and dies needed to make this card, but I love the simplicity and how the images so matched the sentiment...sweet when that happens!  As always, fun, too!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Sending Hugs Tag Card

I am in love with my Simon Mini Flower dies,  in pinks, with green leaves!!  Now, I've combined them with gray stripes and a black card, along with a sweet tag, and I made this...
The tag is Simon Says Stamp's pretty Garden Stems Tag die, and I used the leaves on the tag, but replaced the flowers that came with the die for the Mini Flower dies.  I layered tag and flowers 3 times each, die cutting the tag in striped gray for the background of the flowers.   I used an older Simon sentiment from Flower Friend stamp set, stamped with versamark and white embossed on the black card.  Here's a close up of the flowers...
Oh...sweet pinks and these mini flowers...I never tire of them...as always, SO MUCH FUN!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Butterfly Hope

I used a couple older Simon Says Stamp dies to make a card today.  I used the Devonshire and Paulina Butterfly dies along with the Clustered Leaves die...
I took a piece of watercolor paper, folded it with my score board, then used a water brush to add some water to one side of the fold.  I dotted the wet side with some drops of ink, then folded the other side to the inked side.  When you open the paper, the ink has bled over to the other side, and both sides of the paper look similar...like a butterfly should.  I covered the colored watercolor paper with the outlined butterfly and attached the butterfly over the leaves.  I added some silver dots to the leaves.  Here's a close up...
The sentiment is from an old, retired set of stamps from Simon...I've added the pic to the stamps below, even though the link will not work.   Ah, hope...what a wonderful thing!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Rainbow and Sparkly Birthday Centerpieces Card

I used the My Favorite Things Happy Birthday Centerpieces die to make a rainbow and sparkly silver birthday card...
I chose a black panel and die cut rainbow letters, stars and candles and some glittery silver for the outside stars and cake stripes.  I die cut the papers individually...did the red, orange, green and purple in one swipe of the Big Shot, and put strips of pink, yellow and blue on the die to die cut with a  second swipe for the letters.  Here's a close up...
I have some leftovers that I have an idea to use for another card...we'll see how it pans out:):)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

A Birthday Flower

I decided to make another card using the Poppy Stamps Massa Leaf Background die I got a couple weeks ago...I love these leaves!!  I combined them with one of my favorite big flower dies, the Penny Black Pinwheel die, and made a birthday card...
I am also loving to put my images/designs into the framed stitched rectangles, these days...I think the rectangles add interest, dimension and texture...just enough  to have a stand alone flower and leaves along with a sentiment look like enough.  No need for patterned paper or textured cardstock, just a stitched rectangle.  The sentiment is Papertrey Ink.  I will tell you, I tried to watercolor then die cut paper for the flower and leaves...but I have to say, the colors of the cardstock were SO MUCH more pretty to me than watercolors...I keep trying, but I just can't find happy with watercolors...paper is it for me!!  Here's a close up...
I LOVE cards that are simple and easy...so... much... fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

A Tree for All Seasons...All Four of Them!

To say I love the All Seasons Tree die from Simon Says Stamp is really an understatement!  With this die, I made...

... back in Aug-Sept of 2013(you can click on each card to take you to the exact post).

Recently, I used this tree once again, to make a set of 4 framed Seasons...
I die cut, layered then filled in the trees with colored die cut leaves (or in the case of Winter, no color).  I die cut, layered and glossy accented hearts then put on silver thread ...my way of saying, "Love in all seasons."  I put them on black cardstock and added the lettering of seasons underneath each tree, using the Simon Says Stamp Alphabet Block dies...layered, as well, thought they went perfect with these trees!  Having a gridded paper like the one these trees sit on, is wonderful for perfect placement, especially when you are trying to get 4 different works to look coordinated.
Here are some close ups...

Ahhhh...I STILL LOVE this tree...THREE years later!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
