Framed Merry

I have another card to show you all using the new Simon Says Stamp Stained Glass stamp/die set...what a wonderful set for Christmas!!
I used the stamp and die for the "MERRY".  I stamped the sentiment to line up with the stripes of the card's panel, and layered.  I also used the new Simonn Holly Fanfare die, as well, to dress up my MERRY, scoring the leaves to give them some dimension.  I also used the Simon Stitched Rectangle dies to make a frame in gold.  Here's a close up...
Hope you have all had a great November...Thanks for visiting me today!!

Big Rainbow Thanks

I've made a thank you card that uses a My Favorite Things sentiment die, and a Simon Says Stamp  backgroud stamp...
I stamped the background with black ink and clear embossed this pretty Simon background stamp, Ornate Background.  I then die cut the My Favorite Things Big "THANKS" from a rainbow of striped papers that I had adhered together.   I loved how the rainbow looked against the stamped background, so I put the two together!  Here's a close up...
This was so much fun to put together...Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Let It Snowman

Oh, how I love snowmen!!!  I have bunches of them on my Christmas tree every year, and having grown up in Buffalo NY,  snowmen were and always will be a part of me:)!!  Simon Says Stamp has the cutest snowman die this season, and I have made a card showcasing this cute little guy...
I die cut and layered the "man" and his gear, then adhered all the pieces to another solid snowman, that I had embossed on a piece of cardstock with the snowman die, and cut out.  It's MUCH easier to put all his pieces on a single piece of cardstock, than to adhere all the pieces of his hat and then his body all individually onto the card.  I added some holly leaves and a berry from the new Simon Holly Fanfare die, and adhered him to a snowfilled piece of blue cardstock.  I masked the small part that I wanted the sentiment to be, and after wiping with my magic powder bag, versamarked the Simon Falling Snow background stamp and white embossed.  I used a Simon sentiment from the On a String stamp set that I stamped with black ink and clear embossed.  Here's a close up...
Oh, SO IN LOVE with this little guy!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Merry Christmas Bouquet

I made a bouquet of red flowers amongst a green backdrop,  for this Christmas card...
I stamped, die cut, layered twice, then color the flowers.  I stamped them die cut the leaves, colored, then cut strips of green cardstock to make the stems, and attached the leaves to the stems to the flowers.  I stamped the banner with my MISTI and some black ink, so I coul make sure it was really dark, so I stamped it a couple/few times, then die cut.  I used the magic embossing bag, then stamped the "Merry Christmas" with versamark and white embossed. I swiped green ink on some white cardstock to make the background panel green, wanted to keep the colors really similiar.  You'll notice that the green is a bit uneven in spots...perfect swiping is not me:)!!   I DID dot random dots in the centers of the flowers with some green enamel accents.  Here's a close up...
I know, not the traditional kind of Christmas card, but who doesn't love a bouquet of flowers...even for Christmas?!  I LOVE flowers anytime!!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Autumn Blessings Two Ways

I used the Simon Says Stamp Ornate Leaves stamps/die set and made a couple of Autumn cards...
The image stamps from this set are soooooo pretty!!  I used the pumpkin on this first card, along with the flourish stamp from the set on either side of the layered pumpkin.  I also used some orange enamel accents to dot the tips of the flourish, and some black twine as an accent on the top.  The bottom...one of my favorite things to do, right now, is small stripes from a gift card holder card.  Here's a close up...
The second one, much like the first, has the leaf image from the set, stamped in three different colors and layered...
I used a sentiment from an older retired Simon set, Autumn Blessings, just wanted you to be able to see, a pretty set with pretty sentiments, and I couldn't resist, as the sentiment really "fit" the card...
I layered the leaves and added Doodlebug enamel dots and some twine, as well as the stripes at the bottom of the card, like the first, these ones stamped.  Here's a close up...
These ornate leaves and pumpkin are so stinkin pretty...and such fun to create with!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

I used the new Simon Says Stamp Stained Glass Greetings stamp/die set to make a Christmas cards, one outlined in gold, the other outlined in black...
I stamped, embossed, die cut, colored and layered the sentiments.  I adhered them to a panel that I had stamped the Center Cut Kaleidoscope background stamp on with Simon Lipstick red ink, and stamped one of the set's sentiments at the bottom with versamark and gold embossed.  I popped up the whole panel onto a card with gold embossed stripes.  Here's a close up...
and another...loving these sentiments and this beautiful background stamp!!...

Here's the same card, except stamped with black ink and clear embossed...

Pine Needle Wreath On Stripes

The new Simon Says Stamp Pine Needle Wreath die is really versatile...this is my fourth card using the die...here's a more 3D kind of card, like one I did, but more the size of the die and hugs the card...
I had this striped card sitting on my craft desk from another card I made but didn't use.  The stripes were made with the Prettied Up Gift Card die.  I die cut a couple wreaths and adhered the pine needle pieces to the card with my Glossy Accents.  I stamped, die cut then colored the PEACE sentiment and adhered to card with glue dots.  Here's a close up...
Simple and fun...that's the way I like it:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Memory Box Stitched Squares #3...Stitched Hearts with Love

I made a card with the Memory Box Stitched Square dies set, and the Triple Stitched Heart die, a Simon Says Stamp stamp set, along with some paint chips to make a card with one of my currently favorite color combinations...
I die cut, then layered both the squares and the hearts and then found that the hearts snuggly fit into the squares, so in, they went!  I added the Simon sentiment onto a really cool piece of kraft paper I got at AC Moore with versa mark and white embossed.  Here's a close up...
Oh so much fun!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Falala...Making Spirits Bright!

The Simon Says Stamp FA LA LA stamp and die set is FUN!!  I had layered a die cut FA LA LA of black and had it sitting on my desk, when I saw one of the sentiments from the stamp set and had an idea...
I had purchased a $1.99 Christmas necklace a couple years ago ( it was at a Hallmark store, but could try Dollar Tree??), that was simply Christmas lights on a string. I cut a small part of the necklace off, five bulbs, and attached to the die cut sentiment, then adhered each of the lights to the card with a tiny glue dot, shaping the lights to the shape of the sentiment.  I added the stamped sentiment that inspired the card underneath, and done... here's a close up...
This die is FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
*****EDIT*****
One of my amazing readers, Kirsten sent me an email letting me know that she had found some lights on a string, so I am going to pass her info on to you, just in case you were looking for lights on a string!!  :

I wanted to let you know I accidentally found a tiny string of Christmas lights embellishment. I just happened to be looking through the paper crafting sale category online at Joann Fabric and Craft,, and there they were!  Jolee's By You  has a 3-D embellishment that is a string of mini Christmas lights.  It's called Holiday Lights. It doesn't say how long of a string it is in the description, but it looks like a decent length in the photo. The price is about $3.00 on sale; kinda pricey. Michael's carries it and so does Hobby Lobby (I don't know if you have them where you live). For some reason, the item does not come up in a search on Joann's website, but if you google Jolee's By You-Holiday Lights, Joann's will be one of the items that pops up and you can click the link to them. I think it's an online only item. Just thought I'd share the info in case other blog readers are interested.

Thanks so much Kirsten!!  You've done some great investigating and uncovered some great finds!!  Hugs!!  Lisa

FA LA LA with Holly

I used the new Simon Says Stamp FA LA LA stamp and die set as well as the new Holly Collage die to make a Christmas card...
I die cut the sentiment with some gold cardstock and layered, as well as the holly.  The berries are one layer.  The sentiment is stamped with versamark and gold embossed.  The bottom stripes are gold embossed pinstripes on red cardstock.  Here's a close up...
Such a pretty die, and the coordinating sentiments are wonderful!!  I have another idea for a card using this die...stay tuned:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
